let's talk

i've never been very ashamed to express my mental health progress to others online and this comic is one of the ways i do that.

or i should say "we", as i discovered i'm part of a did system. (we found out we have dissociative identity disorder and have been off learning about it and how to work with it, and it's going to cause serious changes to how we present and how our projects are run.)

many of my system members are also artists, responsible for the strange inconsistencies in this comic as it begins. it's nice to finally have an answer for that - our creative interests converge enough that we are attempting to actively work as a team, and embers is now our fun little experiment that we have no rules for anymore.

we even updated the story page to cross out the fact that this is supposed to be some kind of alternate universe, replaced with a more accurate explanation.  we're excited to come back and continue the plot line we're working on too.

always remember we have a kofi, tumblr, and discord that you can join and the links are all in the menu!! hope you guys are staying warm!

Mental illness is rough when you comic. My schizophrenia makes things hard too. Hang in there. At least, I want you to know that you have my support and encouragement.

your messages never cease to make us smile and we truly appreciate your readership and support. we hope you're doing well too!
(we were misdiagnosed schizophrenic, so that's interesting to know too! thanks for sharing. we had a lot of interest in learning about it growing up, but i guess not needing meds finally raised red flags for us. better late than never though.)
